| Artesia Public Safety Complex The City of Artesia, New Mexico will soon open an $18.6 million Public Safety Complex. Located in the 3300 block of west Main Street (U.S. Hwy 82) in Artesia, the facility will provide 73,500 square feet of space in two stories, bringing together the Municipal Court, police station, main fire station, Eddy County Sheriff annex, NM Department of Corrections Probation and Parole, and the New Mexico State Police field office. It’s believed to be the only building of its kind in the southwestern United States. The dedication ceremony was conducted May 5th.
