The Centerfold
Artesians joined together at Baish Memorial Park
on Memorial Day to honor members of the United
States Armed Forces, those who are serving as
well as those who have served.
Especially those who gave all for our country.
In addition to the ceremony, including
presentation of the colors by the Artesia Fire
Department Honor Guard and playing of Taps by
members of the Artesia High School Band, those
gathered listened reverently as the names of
Artesia's veterans were called.
Looking toward the future, Mike Deans presented
the Freedom's Fire statue, which will eventually be
placed permanently at Baish Memorial Park.
